396 COVID19 cases in India

Total of 18,127samplesfrom 17,237individualshave been tested for SARS-CoV2 as on 22ndMarch 20206:00 PM IST. A total of 396 individuals have been confirmed positive among suspected cases and contacts of known positive cases.This number also include foreign nationals.

Most the states have announced partial lock down.Few states have decided for full lock down.

Kerala has not decided for lock down although the numbers in the state are rising.

J&K imposes lockdown

Jammu $ Kashmir Government has imposed a complete shutdown of all establishments and services throughout J&K from 8:00 pm today till 6 pm March 31.Only essential commodities/ services are exempted throughout J&K from 8:00 pm today till 6 pm March 31.

Vehicles carrying essential supplies are exempted. The essential services too are exempted.

All assemblies at public places to be restricted to 3 persons or less .

Community infection starting to appear in India

Delhi has recorded 27 positive cases out of which 21 have foreign travel history .^ positive cases do not have any travel history of infected countries.These persons have aquired the infection from local transmission.One of these had come in contact with Paytm employee with foreign travel history. One lady died of COVID 19 illness as she has got infection from her son who returned from abroad.

Jharkhand government announces lockdown till March 31

Government of Jharkhand has announced a lockdown till 31 st March,2020.Except emergency services, all government departments, offices, factories, godowns, weekly markets, shops and business establishments will remain closed during the period.A government notification on this subject was issued after a high-level meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
