5 Safety Tips For Eyes are based on recommendation of doctors and parents who have seen or experienced some untoward incidents related with eye.These tips are valuable for kids also.

As it is said that eyes are window of your soul,these are also your visual connection channel with world.It is very important that your eyes remain protected to keep your connection with world intact.

STRUCTURE OF THE EYES

Cornea: The clear front window of the eye. The cornea transmits and focuses light into the eye.
Iris: The colored part of the eye. The iris helps regulate the amount of light that enters the eye.
Lens: The transparent structure inside the eye that focuses light rays onto the retina.
Macula: A small area in the retina that contains special light-sensitive cells. The macula allows us to see fine details clearly.
Optic Nerve: The nerve that connects the eye to the brain. The optic nerve carries the impulses formed by the retina to the brain, which interprets them as images.
Pupil: The dark center in the middle of the iris. The pupil determines how much light is let into the eye. It changes sizes to accommodate for the amount of light that is available.
Retina: The nerve layer that lines the back of the eye. The retina senses light and creates impulses that are sent through the optic nerve to the brain.
Vitreous: The clear, jelly-like substance that fills the middle of the eye.

5 safety tips to protect your eyes

  1. Don’t burn fireworks near your face and keep away from burning sparklers or keep your hands at a distance of almost 2 feet while burning it.
  2.  Wash your eyes with if they start watering , it may happen due to gases which are released in the air during burning of fireworks. Always try to reduce the usage of firecrackers .
  3. If you find a child playing alone with fire or any inflammable Diwali toy ,help that kid and tell them how they should use it or if you are in a hurry , ask them about any adult they know who can keep an eye on him/her.
  4. Don’t look directly at the fireworks which emit too much of light, it may harm your eyes.
  5. If you still due to some reason find anything suspicious, go to a eye specialist for advice as soon as possible, never hide anything from your guardians or elders who live with you. They may also help you in dealing with the situation.
