Cyclone Titli does extensive damage,landslide and flooding in Odissa
Cyclone Titli has caused extensive damage in Gajapati district of Odisha.The heavy rain rain which arrived after Cyclone Titli has caused landslide and flooding in several areas of Odissa.The landslide has caused death of 12 persons and 4 person have been reported missing.
The Special Relief Commissioner BP Sethi has informed that Gajapati District Collector has been instructed to go to the incident site and review the situation.He has , also ,been directed to submit a detailed report after the visit Mr Sethi informed that ,as per the government provisions, the victims will be provided compensation.The NDRF team has been sent to the site affected by Cyclone Titli .Water accumulation and flooding is hampering the movement of rescuers.
The Chief Minister,Mr Navin Patnaik did aerial survey of Ganjam district,Gajapati district ,Raigad district and other affected areas battered by Cyclone Titli .Special relief commissioner Mr Sethi also informed that when the landslide occurred in Gajapati district several villagers left their homes and stayed in a cave nearby for the whole night.It was difficult to stay outside because of heavy rain, this cave like structure provided the shelter in night to the affected villagers .

In another development related with Cyclone Titli, Andhra Pradesh government has asked for Rupees 1200 crore as compensation to cater for the relief and compensate the affected population in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Cyclone Titli has badly affected Srikakulam and Vijayanagaram districts of Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu has written a letter to the Prime Shri Minister Narendra Modi as the coastal belt of Andhra Pradesh has been badly affected by Cyclone Titli. Mr Naidu has claimed that properties, crops and other infrastructure worth more than 2800 crore have been damaged because of sever Cyclone Titli.
Most of the coastal belt of East coast of India is badly affected by cyclone Titli. Roads, buildings and other infrastructure are severely damaged.Proving relief and doing search and rescue in affected ares is a challenge because of flooding and damage of the roads and tracks.rehabilitation and reconstruction will take considerable time.
