How Maharashtra is fighting COVID 19?

With 153 confirmed COVID 19 cases in India and 45 cases in Maharashtra,Maharashtra has earned the distinction of worst hit state of India.

Maharashtra government has decided that offices will operate at 50% strength on day to day basis.It has also suggested that public transports like rail,buses and metro should operate at 50% capacity only.

With 45 corona virus cases, Maharashtra has challenge of handling this public health crisis. Government has closed down all educational institutions . It has imposed Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code in Nagpur and Nashik. Maharashtra is taking many stringent steps to contain the spread of virus.

It is suggested that ,in view of largest number of COVID 19 cases being detected in Maharashtra government may start odd even system of opening of markets.Under this system,if one market is opened on odd date than another nearby market will be opened on even number date.

Maharashtra government is also thinking about the ways to minimise infection during travel in public places.

This can be done to minimise the movement and crowding in the markets. Government may release a plan along with the list of markets.

Indian railways has cancelled 85 trains to minimise the chances of COVID 19 infection.

BMC has announced that any one spiting in public places will be fined 1000 rupees.

Maharastra government is also thinking about the ways to minimise infection during travel in public places.It is reported that CM Uddhav Thackeray has warned that if people will cooperate than government will be compelled to stop operation of mass transport like local trains and buses.

Meanwhile,Western Railways is taking all precautions in trains.Body temperature is being recorded at some stations.It is reported that 4 persons ,who were stamped to have compulsory 14 days quarantine at home,were caught travelling in a Garib Rath train in Maharashtra.They were de-boarded at Palghar railways station.They all have returned from Germany few days back.
