Southwest Monsoon
During the week, southwest monsoon was above
Peninsula by 20% & 34% respectively.

Western end of monsoon trough eastern end oscillated north Southwest monsoon was vigorous over Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha on one day each. It remained active over: Konkan & Goa all through the week; Madhya
Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh.Marathwada, coastal Karnataka and Kerala on a few days and over sub west Bengal & Sikkim, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, west Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat region and south interior Karnataka on one or two days during the week.
Extremely heavy rainfall occurred over Konkan region on two days and over coastal & south interior Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha on one day each. Very heavy rains occurred on many days over coastal & south interior Karnataka and Madhya Maharasht one or two days over Vidarbha, Odisha, Kerala, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Saurashtra and Gujarat region. Rest of the meteorological sub except Rayalaseema and west Rajasthan reported heavy rainfall on one or the other day during the week.
