What is future of Coronavirus in India ? is a common question in India says Praveen Prakash ,an eminent IT Expert. Indian is the second largest country in terms of population after China.

Corona virus cases in India are rapidly rising as Indians and tourists from other nations are arriving in India.Today , Dr Harsh Vardhan,Union Health Minister has informed the media,in New Delhi,that 28 confirmed cases have been reported till date in India.

He said that there is one patient in Delhi, one in Telangana and six in Agra who have tested positive for COVID-19. Apart from these, 16 Italian nationals have tested positive for the disease. the driver of the group of Italian nationals, who were touring in Jaipur, has also tested positive.

A good news is that 3 patients from Kerala has recovered successfully.

However,experts of disaster management are fearing for future because of 4 reasons.

First ,locally acquired infections has started to spread.

Second, travellers from 72 countries can bring infection in India.Now, COVID 19 has spread to 72 countries. A total of more than 93528 cases have tested positive globally.

Three ,high population density and lack of personal hygiene will speed up the infection after a thresh hold limit.This thresh hold limit is not known.

Four, Indians have less inclination to obey health advisory and obey civic health discipline.

How COVID 19 spread in Middle East will affect India?

It is a very important question which is being largely ignored in India.Emergency Manager magazine talked with its experts on this issue.

Middle East or Gulf region has large population of migrant workers from India especially from Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar .These states have very high population density.

As per Dec, 2018 data from MEA, the largest number of blue-collar workers to the Gulf countries is from Uttar Pradesh (86,273 in 2018) and Bihar (59,181). About 30,995,729 Indian work in 208 nations.

Most of these workers are engaged in blue colour jobs.Most are these workers are from rural areas.

Rural Health care system in most of these states are in bad shape.Rural health care system will not be able to handle the rush of infections.

Covid 19 is spreading fast in Gulf nations. To avoid infection,once these workers start rushing back to India for their safety,a massive burden will be seen on Indian rural healthcare system.

Dr Manish Gunjan ,a leading Cardiologist and active social worker, fears A rise can be seen in number of COVID19 cases in India.The situation will be alarming.

All travellers coming to India will be screened

Fortunately, the government has ordered to start universal screening for all passengers coming to India from abroad.All major hospitals in India have been advised to prepare wards for this threat.

Till date,only passengers coming to India from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Nepal, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia were being checked.

Dr Harsh Vardhan said Government of India is trying to start COVID-19 screening test in Iran itself. India is sending three scientists with testing kits to Iran.

Meanwhile ,PM Shri Narendra Modi has announce that he will not play Holi to set an example to avoid mass gathering and ward off chances of infection from COVID 19.Dr Harsh Vardhan also appealed to people to avoid mass gatherings.
